Understanding the additional requirements

Depending on your specific requirements, the Meridian Enterprise Server may impose the following requirements or limitations.

• The rendering processes use third-party applications such as Oracle AutoVue, Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and Autodesk Inventor that must be installed on the Meridian Enterprise Server computer. These applications and their licenses are not included with Meridian Enterprise Server. The versions of these applications that are supported by this release are listed in the BlueCielo Meridian Enterprise Supported Software document that corresponds to this release. BlueCielo ECM Solutions is not responsible for the installation, operation, and licensing of third-party software.

  Note    Some third-party applications that are used for rendering are not compatible with all operating systems that Meridian Enterprise Server is compatible with or the applications may not be supported by the manufacturer in that configuration. When installed together with Meridian Enterprise Server, we recommend that the Publisher rendering module for that application be installed on a dedicated computer running a version of Windows that is compatible with the third-party application and that Meridian Enterprise Server be installed on a computer running a supported version of Windows Server. For example, AutoCAD is not supported on Windows Server by Autodesk. Therefore, we recommend that the AutoCAD rendering module and AutoCAD be installed on a computer running an Autodesk-supported workstation operating system and that Meridian Enterprise Server be installed on a separate computer running a BlueCielo-supported server operating system.

• The Meridian Enterprise Server has several out-of-the-box configuration possibilities, but additional configuration is usually needed to meet specific customer requirements. This document describes the configuration options for each rendering module and system link. Refer to the specific topics that pertain to each rendering module and system link for any additional requirements or limitations.
• The Meridian Enterprise Server is not supported with BlueCielo TeamWork.
